We’re getting married this summer and would be delighted for you to join us! Our wedding celebrations will take place at Wilde Lodge, Knighton, from Monday, 3rd August to Thursday, 6th August.

The wedding itself will take place on Tuesday, 4th August, at Wilde Lodge, with the afters held in Presteigne on Wednesday, 5th August. We’d love for you to join us for the whole celebration, or for as much of it as you’re able to attend.

Below you’ll find all the information you need, including accommodation options, directions, the dress code, and — most importantly — what’s happening and when.

We recommend having a good breakfast or a light lunch, as food will not be served until later in the afternoon. There are no cooking facilities on site or the ability to order food at Wilde Lodge, so we advise heading into Knighton or Ludlow

If you are not staying on-site, please pre-book your taxis well in advance. There aren’t any Ubers in Mid Wales, so we have let Owens Motors know that many of you will be needing a spin (see quick links below for other taxi details)!

Wednesday 5th August

For camping guests, you will be able to pre-order breakfast sandwiches that will be delivered on-site, a little closer to the date.

The Afters

All guests, on-site and off-site, are welcome to join us on Wednesday to soak up the Welsh countryside and relax. Those feeling brave enough and/or need a hangover cure, you can go wild swimming in the river, so bring your bathers and a towel. In the late afternoon, we will be heading to Presteigne to continue the celebrations with drinks, pizzas, music and fun! We would love for you all to join us!

Thursday 6th August

Wilde Lodge check out at 10 am.

Dress Code

Suited and booted, semi-formal. Please note that the ground around the lodge is gravelled and may be uneven, so suitable footwear is recommended.

Children

Due to the nature of the venue, we won’t be able to accommodate children outside of the wedding party. We hope you understand.

Wilde Lodge is nestled in the beautiful Welsh borders. Please be aware that it is a rural area and, as such, transport links are limited.

Accommodation

As there are so many of you who we don’t get to see very often, we would love it if you could stay with us on-site in the bell tent village so that we can enjoy all the festivities together. For those of you who would like to stay in the bell tent village, you can book using the link below. The prices are for 3 nights (i.e. Monday 3rd August – Thursday 6th August) and will be set up for your arrival. The checkout will be on Thursday morning.
