Wilde Retreats
Two venues in the Welsh Borders, available for you to hire and run your own retreat exactly as you want. Wilde Lodge suits larger groups needing space to spread out, gather and get things done. Glasbury River Cottage is better for smaller, more intimate retreats where the riverside setting and quieter surroundings do half the work. We welcome all kinds of organisations and groups — get in touch and we'll help you figure out which venue fits.

A place for connection & creativity
Over the years both venues have hosted an incredible variety of retreats and events — yoga weekends, creative workshops, team away days, outdoor cooking courses and a lot more. Teams have gathered at Wilde Lodge for Olympic Games weekends, dined under the stars and celebrated milestones with live music in the barns. Glasbury River Cottage has welcomed smaller groups for focused creative retreats on the banks of the River Wye. In summer both venues open up fully. In winter they become cosier, more focused spaces — well suited to planning days, workshops and smaller gatherings. We have a trusted list of local caterers, activity providers and suppliers built up over nine years and we’re happy to help you plan as much or as little as you need.

Can we really do whatever we want with the space?
Within reason, yes. Over the years we’ve levelled a lawn to fit a stretch tent, hosted a three-day festival, set up an outdoor cinema, had live Elvis performances and a silent disco in the same weekend. We’ve never said no to a good idea. If you’re planning something unusual, tell us — we’ll either make it work or tell you honestly if we can’t.
How far in advance do we need to book?
As far ahead as possible for summer dates, which tend to go quickly. Winter dates are generally more flexible. Get in touch and we’ll tell you exactly what’s available.
Is there Wi-Fi at both venues?
Yes — Wi-Fi is available at both Wilde Lodge and Glasbury River Cottage.
Can you accommodate dietary requirements and allergies?
We don’t provide catering directly but all of our recommended caterers are experienced in catering for dietary requirements. Let us know when you enquire and we’ll make sure it’s covered from the start.
Do we need to bring our own equipment for workshops or meetings?
That depends on what you’re planning. Both venues have flexible indoor and outdoor spaces that work well for workshops and meetings as they are. If you need additional equipment — screens, sound systems, specific furniture — we can advise on what’s available and point you towards the right suppliers.
Can you arrange a retreat for us? We have an idea but don't have the time to put it together.

We have a trusted list of caterers, activity providers and suppliers built up over nine years and we can do as much or as little of the planning as you need.
