Planning your event

All the support you need
At Wilde Lodge and Glasbury River Cottage, we believe in calm, uncomplicated celebrations that give you time to actually enjoy the people around you. With over nine years of experience hosting every size and style of stay, we’ve built the resources to take the pressure out of planning — so you can focus on the good bit.

Planning Hub
A personalised online space for your event — keeping guests informed and you stress‑free. Share timings, travel details, what to bring, and RSVPs, plus links for bell tent bookings, local stays, taxis, directions, and dress code. Everything they need, all in one place

Wedding Planning Guide & Workflow
We attract couples who want more time enjoying themselves and less time worrying — and we’ve built our planning process around exactly that.
- A tailored, step-by-step guide that works backwards from your wedding date, delivering the right information at the right time so you never feel overwhelmed.
- A check-in video call with our events team 12 weeks before your day.
- Full coordination available as an add-on, if you’d like extra support. The choice is always yours.

Choosing your suppliers
We give every couple a curated list of exceptional local suppliers — people we know, have worked with, and trust — so you can tailor every detail to your own style, taste and budget.
Every supplier on our list has been personally vetted: we’ve checked credentials, PAT testing, insurance and food hygiene licences, so you don’t have to. They know our venues, and they know how to make celebrations here work.

Additional Staff
The Wilde Bar Team is yours for your wedding day — managing drinks, keeping the site clean and tidy throughout, and making sure everything is ready for the morning after.
- Your caterers will provide waitstaff for the meal.
- On the days either side of your wedding, you’re self-catered, with the option to add bar staff, waitstaff or event staff if needed.
- For larger guest numbers on site, the Wilde Bar Team is required to ensure safety and licensing obligations are met.
Every staffing arrangement is tailored to your booking — get in touch to talk through your plans and get a quote.

Additional Accommodation
At Wilde Lodge there are two options for additional guests: on-site bell tents and glamping, or local accommodation nearby.
- Bell tents and camping — we set up a unique booking code for your event so guests can book and pay directly online.
- Local accommodation — a curated list of nearby B&Bs and holiday cottages is added to your planning hub, so your guests aren’t left searching from scratch.
At Glasbury, local accommodation options are added to your hub in the same way — the village pub, Foyles, is within walking distance, and there are good options within easy reach.
